How To Deal With Anxiety Naturally?

Unless you’ve actually had a panic/anxiety attack, then they are hard to explain and put into words. Imagine your biggest fear, your scariest moment, and then make it last for at least ten minutes. Give yourself tunnel vision. Increase your heart rate, your breathing. Lose control. Imagine you are going to die.

Now imagine that there is no threat against you whatsoever and yet you still had this reaction. People will tell you to just “Snap out of it” or “Close your eyes and just calm your breathing down” but they don’t really get it. You can’t just snap out of it, or simply slow your breathing down. And unless you 100% completely understand why and how your panic attacks happen, and then you will won’t ever be able to live a life free of them. Speaking from experience, I’ve tried it all, and the one fact that has remained all these years, is knowledge is power.

What I am to tell you is what I’ve found to have worked. I struggled for years and I never had any sort of “guide” so this information I’m about to tell you is critical and valuable. Let me start by telling you a bit about myself. My name’s Haris. I’m not a writer of any real sort, but I felt that this was important enough to put down into ink. I suffered from an Anxiety Disorder, specifically Panic Attacks for years.

I have a very very slight chemical imbalance, which probably contributed to my Panic Attacks in the first place, but also unfortunately puts me at risk for future ones as well. I suffered panic attacks as a child, but since I was a child, I thought they were totally normal to experience! Finally, when I was in my mid 20’s I cracked. I suffered a nervous breakdown. Really it wasn’t that I was breaking, it just became apparent that I really needed help.

Panic Attacks: What are they?

I feel it’s important to know exactly what a panic attack is. Often times, it’s very hard to communicate what one is, so I feel it’s more effective to show you, rather than tell you. Watch the video below and see if you relate to the woman in the video.

Your brain is an incredible piece of human machinery. And from what I’ve found, the best way to manage your Panic Attacks is to change how your brain works and how you think about panic attacks.

Treating Your Panic Attacks with Medication

Let’s take a look at your medication. Most likely it’s a type of antidepressant. This is good. Antianxiety medication works in two ways. First, the medicine will probably reduce the amount of panic attacks you will have along with the severity of them.

Second, you will be helping yourself become more knowledgeable in fighting your anxiety disorder. Make sure you take your medicine! There is a lot of misleading and in general, plain wrong information regarding antidepressants. No, they will not make you crazy. No, there is a not wacky side effect. If you’re doctor prescribed it, you will probably be okay!

Take Your Knowledge and Use it to Recover

anxiety and panic attacksThere are a lot of people who claim they know how to fix your Panic Attacks. Truth is, they don’t. They just want something out of you. Ignore them. After suffering from Panic Attacks, I studied, studied and studied until the point where I was armed with every case study, every scenario and every what if I could come across. From an observant participant by suffering from Panic Attacks, I became a bit of an expert.

So I looked into writing a guide on how to beat it…funny thing was, was that I found my guide, Panic Away. And it had already been written to help people! The book has the easiest to read, thoughtful instructions I could possibly find. It was essentially everything I’ve learned from Panic Attacks condensed into bite sized pieces for people to process.

Away on his Panic Attack Program Barry Mcdonagh, whom wrote the book, looks at factors of Panic Attacks. He finds linkages and explains everything in a simply, no nonsense, easy to read fashion. He looks into every fear, practically every scenario and most importantly, teaches you how to deal with each and every episode. Joe essentially did what I was looking to do: Take every bit of information that I learned, and turn it into a book so people can be helped immediately! He uses real life case studies, not a Joe the builder made up character who happens to have these perfect symptoms that can be easily diagnosed. No, he takes real life and breaks down the panic attacks and shows YOU how to beat them. Read the book. Follow the program. Beat your Panic Attacks. His book has helped so many people, 42,000 to be exact, that you really shouldn’t wait any longer to help cure yourself. Save yourself.

What is Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)?

Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) is a chronic disorder characterized by excessive, long-lasting anxiety and worry about nonspecific life events, objects, and situations. GAD sufferers often feel afraid and worry about health, money, family, work, or school, but they have trouble both identifying the specific fear and controlling the worries.

What is Panic Disorder?

Panic Disorder is a type of anxiety characterized by brief or sudden attacks of intense terror and apprehension that leads to shaking, confusion, dizziness, nausea, and difficulty breathing. Panic attacks tend to arise abruptly and peak after 10 minutes, but they then may last for hours. Panic disorders usually occur after frightening experiences or prolonged stress, but they can be spontaneous as well.

What is a Phobia?

A Phobia is an irrational fear and avoidance of an object or situation. Phobias are different from generalized anxiety disorders because a phobia has a fear response identified with a specific cause.

What is Social Anxiety Disorder?

Social Anxiety Disorder is a type of social phobia characterized by a fear of being negatively judged by others or a fear of public embarrassment due to impulsive actions. This includes feelings such as stage fright, a fear of intimacy, and a fear of humiliation.

What is Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)?

Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is anxiety that results from previous trauma such as military combat, rape, hostage situations, or a serious accident. PTSD often leads to flashbacks and behavioral changes in order to avoid certain stimuli.

What is Separation Anxiety Disorder?

Separation Anxiety Disorder is characterized by high levels of anxiety when separated from a person or place that provides feelings of security or safety.

Social Anxiety Disorder

If your anxiety is not severe or you are already in treatment for SAD, there are a number of coping strategies that you can use to help alleviate social anxiety in meetings at work.

Practice

If you are required to present during meetings, or simply wish to improve your skills at speaking to a group, there is no substitute for regular practice. In addition to practicing material on your own, you should consider joining a group like Toastmasters.

Toastmasters offers more than just the chance to become a better public speaker. The organization will help you to improve your ability to make introductions, think on your feet, and talk informally to a group. During the first few sessions you are free to observe and decide whether or not you want to participate.

Social anxiety disorder, also known as social phobia, involves intense fear of certain social situations—especially situations that are unfamiliar or in which you feel you’ll be watched or evaluated by others.

These social situations may be so frightening that you get anxious just thinking about them or go to great lengths to avoid them.

Underlying social anxiety disorder or social phobia is the fear of being scrutinized, judged, or embarrassed in public. You may be afraid that people will think badly of you or that you won’t measure up in comparison to others. And even though you probably realize that your fears of being judged are at least somewhat irrational and overblown, you still can’t help feeling anxious.
